Aside from letting you hide and show Yoink manually, the keyboard shortcut lets you do even more:
Long-press it to recall files you previously moved out of Yoink.
Double-press it to save your clipboard’s contents in the app.
Less can be more.
Make Yoink ignore apps where you find you don’t need it, and it will not automatically appear when you drag something in those apps.
With its keyboard shortcut, you can still trigger it manually.

Clipboard History
Yoink can store recent items you copied.
Accessible from its Widget in Notification Center or the Yoink app itself, you can either send previously copied items right to Yoink, or copy them to your clipboard again.
Popular password managers are excluded by default, and in Yoink’s preferences you can add apps to the “Ignored Apps” list, from which Yoink should never store copied items.
